Forrest DeShong

Acquisition Landman

Forrest DeShong is an Acquisition Landman at ES3 Minerals LLC. A native Texan, Forrest was born in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022. After completing his degree, he settled in Austin, where he has lived ever since.

Forrest has a few years of experience in the mineral acquisition business, initially starting in sales and now focusing more on land work. He is a registered Landman and a member of the AAPL, currently working towards obtaining his RPL and CPL certifications.

Outside of work, Forrest enjoys exploring Austin. His favorite activities include fly-fishing, golfing with friends, and attending Longhorn baseball games.
